Looking Back On The Joys And Sorrows Of 2018

Looking back on 2018 fills my heart with great joys and sorrows.  I have always believed life should be lived in the moment and I try hard to do that every day and every minute.  But looking back helps to reflect on lessons learned and knowledge gained. One of my favorite quotes comes from Oprah someone who knows that struggles can lead to great wisdom and happiness.

I consider the world, this Earth, to be like a school, and our life the classrooms. Oprah Winfrey

That quote is very true. We live and learn with everything that life can throw at us and life will throw curveballs at you left and right. You can either swing and strike out or duck and miss making a home run, Either way, you have to stand at the plate.

Looking Back on 2018:

I don’t claim to know everything. In fact, I am a person who is a student of life. I watch, listen, ask questions and learn. I never assume I know everything. I am grateful for everything I have and everything I have learned. Life has been my greatest teacher and this year was no exception.

Life Lessons

This year has brought me some very valuable life lessons. I learned that not everyone is who they appear to be on the outside. That sometime for your own well being you have to let go and walk away no matter how much your heart breaks. I learned you have to know when to say no and to know that saying no is okay. Life also taught me that it is going to rain somedays and that you can either sit inside and miss out or you can pull on your rainboots and dance in the rain.

Travel

The year began with one of the most magical trips ever as I returned
to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. this trip took me not only to Disney World and to Castaway Cay but to Nassau a place I had never been before. I also took a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina along with an East Coast road trip. I even got my first weekend stay at a luxury condo and I am now very spoiled. Each new destination brought memories and new experiences.
