This past week I was blessed to attend the Disney Social Media Mom Celebration and I can’t wait to tell you all about it but first, I am excited to say EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in bloom starting TODAY!!! Held each day from February 28 to May 28, 2018, and can you believe it’s their 25th year in bloom.
I am so excited and I just can’t hide it.
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in Bloom
The annual flower show at EPCOT ushers in the spring season with vibrant color and captivating experiences the whole family can enjoy. Blooming from February 28 to May 28, 2018, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will delight not only the young but the young at heart. highlights this year include the following.
Gardens, Flowers and Disney Character Topiaries
In addition to all natural beauty and nature of the park, the Walt Disney World horticulture squad has secured some new things for guest to enjoy. New garden destinations this year include “The How-To Garden” and “The Imagination Play Garden” which are perfect for adults and kids to enjoy together. Returning favorites include “The Goodness Garden Butterfly House” and “The Water Wise Garden,” which showcase environmental responsibility as well as just being fun! Plus you get to see some of your favorite Disney characters brought to life in amazing topiaries.
Food
Okay, we all know Disney has some of the best food. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was tickled pink to hear that this year there would be 15 Outdoor Kitchens. I can’t wait to eat some of these amazing dishes. Some of the dishes include Seared Scallops with French Green Beans, Butter Potatoes, Brown Butter Vinaigrette and Apple-wood Smoked Bacon and Tropical Mousse Cake: Layers of Passion Fruit Cake, Coconut Mousse and a Tropical Fruit Glaze with Fresh Pineapple. I mean can we all say YUM!!!
New Merchandise
It wouldn’t be Disney if they didn’t keep us in style with their latest merchandise. I mean seriously can you really have too many ears. Merchandise includes hats, T-shirts, mugs and other fun Festival merchandise throughout Future World and World Showcase. I can’t resist anything with from Disney so my bank account is ready.
Garden Rocks Series
As a music lover, I am really excited about the Garden Rocks Series. I am even more excited to learn my teen idol Rick Springfield will be performing. In case you didn’t know I have been a fan since I was 10 and have been trying to see him perform live for 36 years. Due to a series of unfortunate events it hasn’t happen, I am hoping this will be my year to make this dream come true. Other performers include Smash Mouth, Night Ranger and Little River Band.
Here is this year’s lineup (subject to change without notice):
March 2-5: Night Ranger “Sister Christian”
March 9-12: STARSHIP starring Mickey Thomas “We Built This City”
March 16-19: Simple Plan “Welcome to My Life”

Tours
Another great way to get the “Inside track” if you will are the tours. These tours give you a great view into the world of gardening and techniques. It’s like getting to see the inner workings of a beautiful garden.
Please note: Admission to Epcot is required. While most Festival events are included with your theme park ticket, some experiences require a separate purchase or a separate admission fee. In addition, availability is limited for select experiences, and all events may be rescheduled or canceled at any time.
