A Walt Disney World vacation is full of surprises and opportunities to create fantastic memories that you will always cherish. There are many ways in which Disney offers more than the expected theme park experience. You can take guided tours, or get into the parks early, just to name a couple of popular examples. One of my favorite Disney World extras is the Disney After Hours events. These events are offered on select dates during the year. If you are looking to add some magic to your next Walt Disney World trip, consider these magical events. It’s a terrific way to shake things up and see your favorite Disney Parks in a whole new light.

What are Disney After Hours events?
Disney After Hours events are ticketed events that start at $125 per person. They allow guests to experience select parks with fewer crowds after they close their regular operations. Most of the attractions remain open, and because attendance is limited, wait times are extremely low. The events typically last for about 3 hours and include complimentary snacks such as ice cream, popcorn, and soda.

Where are there Disney After Hours Events
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom offers two kinds of dafter hours experience. The regular Disney After Hours event is a fun way to explore the Magic Kingdom in enchanted lighting. The main attraction of this Magic Kingdom experience is lighter crowds and “walk on” wait times. Then, there is Disney Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park. This is a new event with more entertainment. The villains night includes a more devilish lighting palette, however; and in addition, includes a new show featuring many of Disney’s most nefarious evildoers. The famous steampunk Maleficent Dragon also makes appearances, breathing fire as she roams the park.
Hollywood Studios
After Hours Events in Hollywood Studios are where to go to experience some of Walt Disney Worlds most thrilling attractions with little to no line. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rockin’ Rollercoaster, and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue are all easy “walk-ons”, plus you get to experience the magic of Toy Story Land at night. Hollywood Studios After Hours events are also an opportunity to meet your favorite Star Wars and Pixar characters in a less crowded environment.
Animal Kingdom
The jungle comes to life after dark at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Experience the Bioluminescent wonder of Pandora the World of Avatar at night and ride Flight of Passage without the huge wait time. See the spectacular sights of Africa and Asia illuminated for the nighttime event and watch the projection show awaken the Tree of Life.

H2O Glow Party
Although, not a Disney After Hours event, H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon is the ultimate beach party. It happens after closing from 8:00-11:00 and is hosted by Rex from Toy Story. All of the attractions remain open and Toy Story Characters make appearances. Plus limited time Toy Story inspired menu options will also be available.
