Tips for Making Great Iced Coffee
Start with a high-quality coffee. As I said Community Coffee is my go to. Their coffee is made with 100% select Arabica beans and roasted to perfection. Plus they offer many varieties to fit everyone’s taste. My current favorite is the cold brew because it makes the best-iced coffee.
Make coffee ice cubes. This is very important and the key to making great iced coffee. Freeze leftover coffee into an ice cube tray, and pop ’em into your iced coffee the next morning. The best part? When they melt, they add flavor to your brew instead of diluting it. If you really want to get creative, you can drizzle some chocolate or sprinkle a little cinnamon into your ice cubes before freezing them.
Add flavor. You don’t have to spend a fortune on flavoring trust me. You can get coffee flavoring and creamer at your local dollar store that tastes amazing. The key is to find the one that you like.
Make a big batch. Most of the time we are rushing out the door and don’t think about brewing coffee. So make a double batch. whether it’s hot coffee you refrigerate or cold brew(my fave) double up. The key here is to keep it in an airtight container so it stays fresh for drinking.
Experiment. This is also another key point other than using coffee ice cubes. You have to experiment with what your taste palette likes. Whether it’s the perfect sweetener, creamer or strength fo coffee you have to make it the way you like it. Once you find the equation you will have found the perfect iced coffee for you.
Here is a little something to sweeten the day. Community coffee is offering a gift pack of their cold brew to one lucky reader of Teacups and Fairy Tales. Simply follow the directions on the raffle copter above and GOOD LUCK!!!
