Disney rolled out the newest update to Star Tours to include scenes from The Last Jedi. Guests riding aboard the starspeeders now get to travel to the planet of Crait while trying to escape General Hux.
But the real treat comes when the starspeeder jumps into hyperspace and lands on the Galaxy’s Edge, giving guests their first look at the new planet of Batuu. It appears to be an obscure hideout for those that want to keep a low profile and escape the clutches of the First Order.
The new sequences also include opening scenes featuring Kylo Ren and the First Order Stormtroopers and new transmissions from Poe Dameron and Maz Kanata.
Walt Disney World Resort Guests will get to experience Batuu for themselves in 2019 when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests can continue their Star Wars adventure with Galactic Nights on December 16, 2017. This one night only event hosted by Warwick Davis will feature an exclusive panel hosted by David Collins discussing the makings of Galaxy’s Edge.
When adding the Galactic Tasting and Viewing package, guests can take advantage of reserved seating to the Inside the Saga: A Galaxy in the Making panel. The package also includes your choice of five delectable treats such as the ribeye steak puff with coffee-rubbed shaved ribeye, toma cheese, caramelized onions, and horseradish stuffed in a pastry puff or the crab duo a Bluefin crab profiterole is served with a wasabi dipped Snow crab claw, wakame salad, and vegetable slaw. And let me tell you, they are all absolutely amazing and definitely worth the extra cost.
With all the new Star Wars addition to Disney Parks, traveling to a galaxy far, far away is simply a Disney vacation away!
