Then after dinner, sit and have an eggnog. This year is just me and my boyfriend so we are just going to enjoy our day.

  5. My favorite holiday tradition is we always let our kids open ONE present on Christmas Eve, then on Christmas morning (usually 6am!) they get to open everything! Happy Holidays everyone!

  10. I like loading up the family in the car, putting on Christmas music and heading out to view local Christmas light displays.

  11. My favorite holiday tradition is watching little ones open presents. however another one i enjoy is watching as the little stay to stay up until midnight, and watching as there eyes start to drift down.

  15. definitely, fave and cherished our yearly dated hallmark ornaments…mom started for us in the 70s…some now very rare and very collectible.

  16. My sister and I bake every year. We meet up and make some of the same stuff my grandma use to make and some of our favorites. Then we can trade with each other and have twice the variety of homemade goodies.

  17. Well, since my older sister got married, we’ve always made a trip to her house around the holidays. When I was still living at home, my dad, brother, and I would go up the day after Thanksgiving. Now that I’m older and have my own family, my daughters and I go up on or around Christmas for one day. It’s about 3 hours drive each way so it’s not that far. I just wish my youngest would be home to go with us this year.

  23. I’m notorious on Facebook for changing my profile to feature the Grinch. I’m not against Christmas, just the commercialization. My kids don’t need the biggest, newest, or best toys to prove that I love them. Christmas should be about spending time with your family and for celebrating kindness and generosity, not shopping and going into debt to buy presents.

  24. It’s not a “tradition”, per se, but we always go to Holy Mass for Christmas (and on all Sundays and Holydays) to celebrate our Lord and His loving kindness and mercy. Thanks and God Bless! ILuvTheEucharist @ aol dot com

  27. Hands down, it’s baking with my mom (and my grandma, before she passed away) during December. We bake at least a dozen different cookies, bars, and candies, and give cookie trays as Christmas gifts, with enough left over to munch on ourselves.

  28. My favorite Christmas tradition is going to Christmas Eve service at church and then riding around looking at Christmas lights before going out to dinner for Chinese.
