Music Monday ~ Around The World We Go

Hello and welcome to Monday Music. Let me start off by saying how blessed and grateful I am to have you join me again today.  It is a beautiful day and one that is perfect for music.

Today I would like to introduce you to a new artist I have recently been introduced to Geneva.

Transylvania-Hunedoara born rapper Geneva was raised briefly in the US in NY and Virginia by a single mother who worked as a Journalist. At 15 GENEVA discovered her song writing skills and began recording in studios across Europe; doing sessions with Quiz&Larossi, Tony Nilsson and Emanuel Olsson. She has written tracks with International chart toppers Mohombi, and Alexandra Stan and has received multiple shout outs from Hip Hop legends like Snoop Dogg on SoundCloud for her lyrics and flow. you can connect with Geneva via Instagram, Twitter, and Soundcloud.

Listening to Geneva I was really liking her vibe and her sound. It was very fun and I found it had a great dance beat.  which of course made her my new favorite. It also reminded me that I really enjoy music from around the world and that music is universal. So I went back to my playlist and realized I had several artists on my list that not only sang in other languages(some do not all) but are not from America that I enjoyed listening to.

So let’s take a trip around the world in music.

 Vanessa Paradis ~ Commando

Ricky Martin ~ Maria

Nena ~ 99 Luftballons

Richie Valens ~ La Bomba
