Be Confident And Be You With Depend

This is sponsored content written by me in partnership with Depend®. All opinions are my own.

When I was a child making my mom laugh was the highlight of mine and my siblings day because we knew if she laughed hard enough she would pee herself. I know we were horrible children and mom always smiled about it and said just you wait one day your time will come. Who knew my time would be at a young age of 46 I would be the one buying a box of Depend.

Did you know that nearly half of the adults that experience bladder leakage is under the age of 50? Yep that’s right it’s not something that happens when you get older and it shouldn’t stop you from living your life.  I mean let’s face it, moms, half the reason we have bladder leakage is that we had someone dancing on out bladder for nine months and for some of us we had it happen several times.

So yeah we pee a little when we sneeze, cough or laugh doesn’t mean we need to give up playing jump rope with our kids or going out with friends. We just need to be protected and be confident. We also need to talk about it and lift the stigma of bladder leakage because it’s a fact of life and no one should feel ashamed.

Ways You Can Help Depend To Lift the Stigma

  • Talk about incontinence with your friends and family don’t be ashamed
  • Don’t be embarrassed to buy Depend at your local store
  • Talk to your doctor
  • Live your life fully
  • Stay healthy and active
  • Know you are not alone
  • Be confident knowing you are protected from leakage

  1. I am sure this problem can really wreak havoc on the self esteem. I agree that talking about it will be key to also taking away the secrecy of it.
