Influencer Marketing for Dummies #BookReview #CleverDummies

I am an avid book lover. My mother always said I was born with a reading list I would never finish and it’s true. I enjoy a good book, I also enjoy learning. I always feel accomplished when I learn something new. I think that is why I enjoy blogging so much because there is always something new to learn.

Influencer Marketing for Dummies Review

Like recently I had the pleasure of reading the book Influencer Marketing for Dummies written by Kristy Sammis (Author), Cat Lincoln (Author), Stefania Pomponi (Author), Jenny Ng (Contributor), Edita Gassmann Rodriguez (Contributor), Judy Zhou (Contributor). I learned so much about how to present myself and my blog to brands. I learned that I had to be precise and write my pitch so that it was more personal towards the company I wanted to work with instead of an overall general pitch.

For example I have been trying for years to work with a certain weight loss program and kept getting turned down for various reason. Then I took a deep breath followed what I learned from this book and sent out a pitch that was a little more personal and presented them with an angel that hadn’t been seen before. Guess what I got the job and will begin in a few weeks blogging about their weight loss program through the eyes of a vegetarian.

I also learned while reading this book that focusing on just a few social media platforms and learning to use them correctly and to their full potential is a lot better than using a lot of platforms incorrectly.  I truly enjoyed reading this book and took much away from it. I also found myself introduced to blogs that not only helped me by example but that I found I enjoyed reading beyond this book.

As someone who has been blogging for a little over 6 years but only really started taking it seriously as a business in the last 3 I realized that I still have much to learn.  As a result of reading this book and starting to implement some of their ideas and knowledge I not only scored a huge campaign but I also have increased my twitter following and I am starting to learn how to use twitter to my benefit.

Whether you are new to blogging or been at it for a while this book is a really good reference material to help you navigate the ever-changing world of the web. I actually keep my copy on the coffee table so I can access it whenever I need a little advice on something I am working on and can’t quite navigate all on my own.  Which by the way is something else I learned that asking for help isn’t as hard as it may seem. Connecting with other bloggers in your area of writing is a great way to get help and tips on how to improve your brand.
If you would like a copy of this wonderful reference manual you can get your copy HERE or you can enter to win a free copy by using the Rafflecopter form listed below. Contest is open to anyone 18+ and a resident of the US.
