Build it With LEGOS @LEGOLANDFlorida #Hosted #TravelBlogger #VisitFL

LEGOS are a huge thing in our house. Husband and son spend hours plotting, planning and building all kinds of Lego creations. For me LEGOS are those vicious little things that hurt when stepped on.  But to witness LEGOS in the form of a theme park is introducing a whole new level of Awesome.

On arriving we all were in awe of the amount of work that went into bringing Legoland to life. From dragons to cities there were LEGO creations everywhere. I will admit the Star Wars figures were my favorite especially the talking R2D2.  Legoland is set up so that getting around is easy. There are several lands to visit including the newest Heartlake City.

Heartlake City is themed to the LEGO Friends line of products that revolves around the lives and friendship of five young girls. Visitors can see Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie in Lego-ized and live forms at the theme park. Another fun land in LEGOLAND  is the Imagination Zone which emphasizes exploring and creation. It also showcases seven of the most visually exciting LEGO models in the world, including a replica of Albert Einstein’s head. Son spent several hours here exploring he also took advantage of learning some of the engineering by building and programing a cutting-edge, computerized LEGO MINDSTORMS robots.

After exploring most of the morning which had mom and I exhausted and hungry we headed out to find food. We didn’t have far to look as there is delicious food everywhere.  We started out with LEGOLAND’s famous Granny’s Apple Fries which are apple fries, dusted with cinnamon and sugar and served with a sweet whipped cream dipping sauce pure heaven. Later we discovered this AMAZING Pizza buffet that was so, so good.  There was also paninis, burgers, ice cream and other delicious food items to enjoy.  You will not starve as you explore this park and shop.

I must say after a long day of exploring, building, riding and eating the only complaint I had was that I didn’t book a room at the Legoland hotel for the night. The hotel is five-story high, has 152-room that immerses guests into a creative LEGO world designed to bring children’s imaginations to life. There are more than two million LEGO bricks that make up over 2,000 LEGO models throughout the Hotel. Plus it’s located just outside the park entrance so it is easy to come and go. Needless to say we had a grand time and are already looking forward to returning for more fun and playtime.

You can find out more about LEGOLAND from their website. LEGOLAND also has a waterpark for an additional fee. LEGOLAND Florida is located at One LEGOLAND Way, Winter Haven Florida 33884 and is just 45 minutes from the Orlando theme parks or downtown Tampa. LEGOLAND opens daily at 10AM but closing time varies so be sure to check schedule.

  1. That Einstein made out of LEGOs is amazing! I can’t imagine how much work goes into creating all those structures. I’ve never been to LEGOLand myself, but would love to take the kids one day.

  2. I’ve never been to LEGOLAND but I sure do love LEGO’s. I bet the hotel was an incredible sight! Maybe you can book a stay on your next visit. 🙂
