standing on the edge
ready to let go
bleed away the pain
fall into darkness
be freed from the chains
that bind me
banish all hope
release all  dreams
slip silently away
never to be known

  1. Another really good poem with lovely use of words my friend. The accompanying photo is also fantastic! I hope she didn/t step over that edge/

  2. This is beautiful and in my view describes how a person feels right before they go to jump over the edge and die, great poem Becca, really has me thinking in a dark kind of way.

WOW! This is what I love about your writing… barely 30 words, yet chock full of thought and emotion!

    Powerful and raw…LOVE!!!
